O zi mult așteptată!
Am încheiat oficial, cu diplomă 🥳, terapia pentru un torticolis pe partea stângă. A fost ultima ședință, dar corpul va continua să lucreze. Pozele vorbesc de la sine.
Scurt istoric: mama m-a contactat când copilul avea 1,5 ani. Am făcut 2 ședințe în care s-a văzut imediat o îmbunătățire, dar apoi a trebuit să întrerupem terapia, independent de voința noastră. Am reluat-o după aproape un an. Eroii acestei povești sunt atât copilașul, cât și mama, care a avut încredere în terapie și a continuat să vină chiar și atunci când copilul protesta și refuza. Refuzuri temporare care se diluau încet și sigur după începerea ședinței, astfel încât ambii plecau mult mai relaxați. Pur și simplu Bowen!
Ce este torticolis?
Torticolisul (numit și „gât înțepenit” sau „gât strâmb”) este o afecțiune în care mușchii gâtului sunt contractați anormal, determinând înclinarea sau rotirea capului într-o parte.
Există mai multe forme, dar cele mai comune sunt:
1. Torticolis congenital
- Apare la naștere sau în primele luni de viață.
- Este de obicei cauzat de scurtarea mușchiului sternocleidomastoidian (mușchiul lung de pe lateralul gâtului).
- Capul copilului se înclină spre o parte, iar bărbia se rotește spre cealaltă.
- Poate fi rezultatul unei poziții necorespunzătoare în uter sau al unei nașteri dificile.
2. Torticolis dobândit
Poate apărea mai târziu, la copii sau adulți, din diverse cauze:
- Spasm muscular
- Infecții
- Traumatisme
- Probleme neurologice
Simptome tipice:
- Cap înclinat sau rotit
- Rigiditate la nivelul gâtului
- Durere sau disconfort
- Limitarea mișcărilor capului
